Sigma Opens New Subsidiary in Lulea

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Feb. 6, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sigma has established a new subsidiary in Lulea - Sigma InfoSolutions. The company was created through a division of Sigma iSoft. The reason for creating the new company was to streamline operations and facilitate ongoing expansion.

Sigma InfoSolutions will focus on consulting services, concepts and solutions relating to e-commerce, integration and product and service development. Sigma iSoft will focus mainly on consulting services and solutions in production-oriented IT systems, information systems and document-handling systems.

"Streamlining our operations creates better dynamics, placing us in a better position to undertake aggressive expansion. Sigma decided to form a new company at this time because customers here in northern Sweden urgently needed to increase their profits from IT investments they had made in the past few years. Sigma's extensive expertise in developing products and services, in integration and in e-commerce makes us well- equipped to deal with the new challenges facing our customers," says Mikael Norlander, President of Sigma InfoSolutions.

Sigma InfoSolutions addresses primarily companies and organizations that are poised to develop, change and integrate their business processes. Partnership is a key factor in being able to offer the best solutions. The most important partners of Sigma InfoSolutions can be found within Sigma and among the most prominent IT suppliers on the market. Sigma is now represented in northern Sweden by Sigma InfoSolutions, Sigma iSoft and Sigma Pleon.

"Our cooperation with other Sigma companies in northern Sweden and other parts of the country provides favorable opportunities and positions us well to undertake extensive, comprehensive projects for our customers," says Mikael Norlander.

Sigma supplies solutions that safeguard the customers' competitiveness. Operations are based on entrepreneurial, niche subsidiaries that develop services and products in close cooperation with customers. Services are offered within three business areas: Business Solutions, IT Solutions, and Network & Wireless Solutions.
