Telelogic Donates U.S.$350,000 Worth of Software to British University

Telelogic's Industry-Leading Automated Software and Systems Development Tools Provide Best-of-Breed Skills Training for Students in Northern Ireland

MALMO, Sweden, Feb. 19, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Telelogic (Stockholm Exchange: TLOG), the leading global provider of solutions for advanced systems and software development, today announced that the company has donated software worth over U.S.$350,000 (250,000 pounds) to Queen's University of Belfast for classroom use.

The university's School of Computer Science will receive multiple copies of Telelogic Tau UML Suite and Telelogic Tau SDL Suite plus all necessary code generating, editing, compiler, simulation and validation products.

Telelogic's Tau UML Suite is a best-in-class tool for analysis and object-oriented modelling, whilst Tau SDL Suite is a leading tool for real-time system design and implementation.

Professor Danny Crookes, head of the School of Computer Science at Queen's University has warmly welcomed the initiative. He said: "The donation of Telelogic's sophisticated automated software development tools will help provide our students with leading-edge software engineering skills, and will further enhance the reputation and capability of Queen's Computer Science graduates. Their skills will help keep Northern Ireland's highly-rated telecommunications and software industries at the forefront of this competitive international industrial sector."

Telelogic's donation will benefit more than 30 students over a two-year period, to be used by Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) students from the start of the new academic year. The software will support a course entitled 'Rigorous Software Design' in which students will use the Tau UML suite for modelling complex software and the Tau SDL suite for automated code generation.
