Frontec and TietoEnator Expand Cooperation in Case and Document Management

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Feb. 20, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- TietoEnator's Public Sector business area and Frontec netSolution AB have signed a cooperation agreement in the area of case and document management. The agreement will help TietoEnator to strengthen its position as a supplier of case and document management solutions and services for 24-hour government access.

The cooperation includes Frontec's Diabas concept, which will now become part of TietoEnator's overall case and document management solutions for the public sector. The concept comprises electronic forms, document managers, electronic archives, and SHS and Internet services, and will service as a strategic platform for the development of new services and IT solutions that support the growth of round-the-clock electronic access to government services.

"The cooperation is well in line with our objectives and strategies to offer clients efficient IT solutions, process development and integration with existing solutions," says Lars-Ove Lindvall, Regional Manager at TietoEnator DevCon AB. "Frontec netSolution's products provide a valuable addition to our own, particularly for the national government sector, but also for other large clients in municipal and county governments."

"The agreement gives us the opportunity to reach out to more of the market and strengthen our role as a developer of system solutions and components for case and document management, with all the new demands that go along with 24-government services," says Tomas Stark, Business Developer at Frontec netSolution AB.

Sales, marketing, consulting, client-specific development, and support will be handled by TietoEnator.
