Sectra Widens its Clinical Solutions Network Program Through an Agreement with IMM

LINKOPING, Sweden, Feb. 26, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Swedish IT and medical technology company Sectra, widens its Clinical Solutions Network by signing an co-operation agreement with International Medical Multimedia, Ltd. (IMM), a software development company based in United Kingdom.

IMM develops and markets AiMS, image management software that enables radiologists to create and customize their image archives for clinical reference, teaching and presentation purposes. AiMS is a suite of software tools to interrogate and manage image repositories. The user has the possibility to build and manage their own databases and/or to use the suite of databases created by IMM and recognized professional bodies, providing an unrivalled repository of radiology cases.

As a result of the agreement it will be possible to work with AiMS seamlessly integrated in the Sectra's workstation for digital radiology. AiMS is one of several special partner applications that Sectra will present at the annual European Congress of Radiology in Vienna, March 1-5 2002.

"With the Sectra Clinical Solutions Network, we aim at maximizing the benefits that users derive from our PACS connected workstations by being able to offer a broad range of highly specialized clinical applications that can be seamlessly integrated into our workstations", says Torbjorn Kronander, President of Sectra Imtec AB.

"The agreement with Sectra confirms the value of AiMS as a tool to manage repositories and use cases for reference, teaching, presentation and distribution purposes, which users can now run from within their PACS application," said Per-Egil Hansen, President of International Medical Multimedia, Ltd. "The co-operation with a leading PACS vendor like Sectra will allow a large number of existing and future PACS users to easily add our AiMS software to complement the functionality of their PACS," Per-Egil Hansen concluded
