ForeningsSparbanken and Nexus Sign Comprehensive General Agreement Covering Information Security and Secured Solutions

LINKOPING, Sweden, March 7, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- ForeningsSparbanken and Nexus sign comprehensive general agreement. With this agreement, Nexus gains the opportunity to support ForeningsSparbanken's continued security development and to take part in establishing expertise in this area. This general agreement also covers the development of those of the bank's projects and operations where security plays a critical role. This agreement builds on a collaboration that goes back several years, including work with ForeningsSparbanken's PKI investments.

Under the terms of this agreement, Nexus offers its services within the areas of Access Control, Communications, Information Security, Project Management, Hacking Protection, System Security, System Development, and Testing.

In addition, Nexus will offer ForeningsSparbanken a range of packaged services and secured solutions designed to support the bank's business development. Nexus takes the view that security is a characteristic of systems and solutions, and as such enables ForeningsSparbanken to further develop its service offering.

The parties have collaborated for some time on a range of different IT Security and PKI projects, a collaboration that will now intensify, due in no small part to ForeningsSparbanken's involvement in the BIDT project.

"Nexus' general agreement with ForeningsSparbanken gives us good conditions for further developing our collaboration with the bank," says Lars G. Birgne, Manager of the Banking and Finance Segment at Nexus. "This general agreement brings with it a large number of opportunities for us, both now and in the future, and is also a certificate of sorts, verifying the continued success of our business model and our work in the area of information security and secured solutions."
