PartnerTech Reduces Workforce in Ljungby

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, April 9, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- PartnerTech is reducing its workforce and giving notice to 25 of its 100 employees at its Ljungby production unit.

The workforce reduction stems primarily from the decline in orders received for the unit. The cut back concerns 24 blue-collar workers and one white-collar worker.

According to PartnerTech President Mikael Jonson, "Several temporary projects have reached their final stages. Unfortunately, the growth of our remaining production is insufficient to offset that loss. We had no choice but to cut back."

PartnerTech AB develops and manufactures electronics products under contract for leading growth companies, primarily in the telecom infrastructure, IT/mechatronics, and medical technology segments. The company, which has some 1,150 employees, is quoted on the O list of the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
