Finnveden's Newly Elected Chairman Acquires Call Options


VARNAMO, Sweden, April 26, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Finnveden's newly elected Board Chairman, Kurt Jofs, has signed an options agreement with Finnveden's principal owner Sparta Holding AB. Under the terms of the agreement, Kurt Jofs has the right during the period from May 1, 2002 through April 30, 2003, to acquire 550,000 Series B shares in Finnveden from Sparta Holding.

In conjunction with the Annual General Meeting in Finnveden AB on April 24, Kurt Jofs was elected to the Board of Directors and thereafter its Chairman. Kurt Jofs was formerly president of AB Segerstrom & Svensson and AB Linjebuss. Kurt Jofs is Chairman of the Board of Flygbussarna Airport Coaches AB and Esselte AB, and member of the Board of Enea Data AB and Atea AB.

Currently, Sparta Holding owns 6,639,752 shares in Finnveden, corresponding to an ownership interest of 25.0%.
