MONTREAL, Quebec and ABERDEEN, U.K., May 15, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Environmental Applied Research Technology House -- EARTH (Canada) Corporation (CDNX:EAR) is pleased to announce that it has signed a Licensing Agreement with Expro Group (LSE:EXR) for the use of the TORR(tm) (Total Oil Remediation & Recovery) technology in the Production operations, Well Cleanup and associated fields of the upstream oil and gas industry. The TORR(tm) technology, proprietary to EARTH (Canada) is capable of treating oily water produced from oil and gas wells, to a level exceeding all international environmental standards.
The inexorable drive by governments, oil majors and stakeholders for cleaner water discharges places TORR(tm) in a unique position. This Agreement reaffirms the significant impact TORR(tm) is likely to have in the de-oiling and cleanup of water. In addition to its lower operational costs when compared to alternative oil/water separation technologies, TORR(tm) is able to recover the oil for reuse.
