TietoEnator Acquires HP's Compaq Healthcare Business in Finland


ESPOO, Finland, May 27, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- TietoEnator and HP have signed an agreement on TietoEnator's acquisition of HP's Compaq healthcare solutions business in Finland. The deal supports TietoEnator's strategy of growth in the Nordic healthcare sector. The Compact business, its six employees, products and customer agreements, including commitments and liabilities, will be transferred to TietoEnator with effect from 1 June 2002.

The products covered by the agreement include the Musti patient administration system, Qkert patient record software, Qpati pathology laboratory information system, and the Konsu consultative referrals and discharges system. The Musti system is currently used by 8 hospital districts including three university hospital: Helsinki and Uusimaa, Kuopio and Turku
