STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 5, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sandvik has today received a decision from the Swedish Tax Authority regarding taxation for 1987. Since the statutory time limit for pursuing this matter has expired, the Tax Authority no longer has any tax claim on Sandvik.
Accordingly, this will have a positive effect of approximately SEK 120 M on Sandvik's net earnings for 2002.
