TABY, Sweden, June 10, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Micronic Laser Systems AB (OM Stockholm Exchange:MICR), a leading manufacturer of laser pattern generation equipment to semiconductor and display industries, today announced the appointment of Carl-Johan Blomberg to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this role, he will be responsible for Micronic's overall financial management, including corporate finance, accounting and strategic business planning. Blomberg will report directly to Sven Lofquist, president and CEO of Micronic Laser Systems AB.
"Carl-Johan has extensive experience from a wide range of companies, and as a member of the corporate management team, he will be a valuable asset," said Lofquist. A finance veteran with more than 25 years of experience, Blomberg joins Micronic from Net Insight AB, where he has served as CFO since 2000. Prior to that role, he gained broad financial management experience by serving as CFO at Hotellus International, Finance Director in Pharmacia & Upjohn, Pharmacia, Procordia and Alfa-Laval.
Blomberg graduated from the Stockholm School of Economics (Stockholm, Sweden).
