KUNGSBACKA, Sweden, June 10, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Elanders signed a three-year contract today with If Skadeforsakring AB creating a strategic partnership based on the Master Vendor concept. The contract covers the production, distribution and stock-keeping of around 2,000 different printed items and campaigns in Sweden and Norway. A process analysis will be undertaken in the autumn of 2002, after which systems that manage orders and stock will be developed and implemented.
Through this contract Elanders will become a supplier to If in Sweden and If in Norway. By working together with Elanders If will reduce costs and become more efficient in the areas of order-taking, production, stock-keeping and distribution of printed matter and campaigns. Elanders and If will initiate a project to implement and develop this cooperation in both organisations.
Elanders considers the confidence If Skadeforsakring has placed in the company by choosing it as their partner in developing and increasing efficiency in logistics in the production of printed matter and campaigns a great challenge. The contract fits in perfectly with Elanders' strategy to develop long-term professional partnerships with customers that financially benefit both parts.
