HiQ Develops Information and Security Solutions for Copenhagen Airport

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 26, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- The IT and management consultancy, HiQ, has signed an agreement with Copenhagen Airport to develop information and security solutions for passengers and planes.

Copenhagen Airport is SAS' main airport and is also the hub of the Star Alliance. It is a busy airport with just under 300,000 operations (departures and arrivals) and about 18 million passengers a year.

HiQ Wise has been working with Copenhagen Airport since 2000, mainly on information and security systems.

"HiQ is working on developing security solutions to monitor secure staff- only corridors between public areas and the terminal area. We are also working with analysis, design and implementation of the 'Copenhagen Airport Information System,' which is the airport's central information system for handling staff," said Gilbert Jensen, Managing Director HiQ Wise.

The number of passengers at Copenhagen Airport increased in 2001 despite the negative trends in the airline industry.

"Security at airports has always been important, and over the past year, the focus on security has further intensified. Through our knowledge of advanced, high-performance communication solutions with 24-hour accessibility, we are able to help our customer to reinforce its security strategy," said Lars Stugemo, CEO of HiQ.
