Anoto Enters Another License Agreement on Anoto Functionality

LUND, Sweden, July 3, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Anoto and a leading player in the telecom industry have signed a license agreement to manufacture digital pens with Anoto functionality. Anoto has received an advance on royalties totalling SEK 2,5 million (EUR 250.000) for the initial 20.000 pens. Additionally the agreement includes a consultant's fee for development work and NRE (Non Refundable Engineering) ranging between SEK 1,5 and 3,5 million.

"At 2002 we stated that our goal was to establish further commercial agreements during the year with one or several major pen partners. We have previously concluded agreements with Sony Ericsson and Logitech. Our new partner, a major player in the field of telecom, is no less prominent, but for the present the name cannot be revealed due to industrial secrecy," said Christer Fahraeus, CEO, Anoto Group.

"It is too early to determine the size of future royalty incomes generated by the agreement, but in the present situation it may well be representing a major part of Anoto's telecom revenues in 2003," concluded Christer Fahraeus.
