Cardo Wins Record Order for doors in China

MALMO, Sweden, Aug. 29, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Cardo's business area Door has won an order in China worth almost SEK 30 million. The aircraft maintenance company Gameco has ordered three big Megadoors for a maintenance hangar at Guangzhou's new major international airport. The order is Cardo Door's largest so far in China.

One of the features of the Megadoor is that it is designed for very large door openings; and it can be made in virtually any size. The doors for Guangzhou New Baiyun International Airport are of the "multiple" type and the largest of them measures 150 x 27 meters. The doors will be made at Cardo Door's subsidiary Megadoor in Skelleftea, Sweden, and will be delivered in December.

This undertaking will attract increased attention to Cardo Door's products in China while providing a first-class reference project in the big Chinese airplane hangar market.

Cardo Door is a business area in the Cardo group and one of the world's largest manufacturers of industrial doors and Europe's leading supplier of dock loading equipment. Cardo Door is also the market leader in servicing these products and one of Europe's largest manufacturers of residential garage doors. Door's turnover amounts to approximately SEK 5.5 billion.
