Brian White Appointed Vice President of Reengineering; Former Vice President of Technology Selected to Lead Transformation of Dresser, Inc.'s Manufacturing and Procurement Processes


DALLAS, Sept. 3, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Dresser, Inc. President and CEO Patrick Murray today announced the appointment of Brian White to the position of vice president of reengineering. Mr. White was previously vice president of technology for Dresser, Inc., and will continue to report to Mr. Murray in his new role.

"Brian brings to his new role a lot of valuable experience in manufacturing and program management," said Murray. "He has played a key role in successfully changing processes and procedures in other organizations, and has also implemented some change programs in Dresser. In this new position he will have company-wide responsibility for improving our manufacturing processes and creating greater efficiencies in our organization."

In his new role, Mr. White will be responsible for continuous improvement and change of Dresser's manufacturing and supply chain management processes, including the planning and execution of enterprise-wide strategies to improve operational performance.

Mr. White previously served as vice president - technology of Dresser Equipment Group, Inc., which he joined in 1998. From 1984 to 1998 he was with Sperry-Sun Drilling Services in a number of engineering, management, and executive roles, including technical director, program director and vice president of manufacturing. He began his career in 1981 with Caterpillar as a maintenance engineer before moving to Orbit Controls as a design engineer working on the design, installation and commissioning of industrial control systems.

Mr. White holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England (1981) and is a Chartered Engineer.
