Crew Development Corporation: General Election Called in Greenland

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 21, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Crew Development Corporation (TSE:CRU) (Other OTC:CRWVF) (Frankfurt:KNC) (Oslo:CRU):

A decision has been made to call for a general election to the Greenland national assembly following a vote of no confidence versus the current Prime Minister and his cabinet. The election is to be held on December 3, and a new cabinet is to be appointed within a maximum of 45 days of the election.

The Nalunaq project enjoys unanimous political support, and this development is thus not expected to affect the outcome of the application for a mining permit at Nalunaq submitted to the authorities by Crew Development Corporation and its commercial partner, state-owned Nuna Minerals of Greenland. The processing of the application will continue as normal in the Bureau of Mines and with other relevant authorities, but the timing of a political decision may be affected by the appointment of a new cabinet.
