Peab to Modernise Asker Station Near Oslo


FOERSLOEV, Sweden, Nov. 4, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Peab (Stockholm:PEABb) has won the contract to modernise Asker station south-west of Oslo. The client is Jernbaneverket (the Norwegian Railway Authority) and the contract is worth NOK 209 million, equivalent to approximately SEK 255 million.

The Asker modernisation will be carried out at the same time as the new double-track rail line is being laid between Asker and Sandvika. The new line is expected to be completed in autumn 2005.

The work at Asker station is already under way and is estimated to be completed in October 2004.
