Copenhagen Airports A/S: In October 2002, Number of Passengers Increased by 8.3%


COPENHAGEN, Denmark, Nov. 6, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- In October 2002, the total number of passengers shows an increase of 8.3% compared to the same month in 2001. The development for the first ten months of 2002 shows an increase of 0.2% compared to the same period last year.

In the month of October 2002, the number of international scheduled passengers increased by 10.6%. The accumulated figure of the first ten months of 2002 shows that international scheduled passengers has increased by 2.6% compared to the same period last year.

In October 2002, the number of international charter passengers decreased by 4.5%. The accumulated figure of the first ten months of 2002 shows that international charter passengers has decreased by 13.9% compared to 2001.

In the month of October 2002, the number of domestic passengers decreased by 3.0%. The accumulated figure of the first ten months of 2002 shows that domestic passengers has decreased by 8.6% compared to the same period last year.

In October 2002, the total number of takeoffs and landings has decreased by 4.6%, while the tonnage shows a decrease by 2.9%. The accumulated figure of the first ten months of 2002 shows that takeoffs and landings decreased by 9.1% while the tonnage decreased by 6.1%.
