ESPOO, Finland, Nov. 27, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- The largest union in Denmark, HK/Denmark, has signed an agreement with TietoEnator (Other OTC:TTNTF) concerning the delivery of a new union and unemployment benefit fund system, Modulus. The agreement means that HK/Denmark will be able to serve its members with the help of an Internet-based solution. With this contract TietoEnator becomes the leading provider of union systems in Denmark, and will now serve more than one million union members with Modulus.
Modulus is the newest generation of administrative systems for unions, developed by TietoEnator. The focus has been to fully exploit the possibilities of the technology and to create a system that is able to smoothly assist the internal routines of a union. Modulus will enable HK/Denmark to fulfil its tasks efficiently in a modern way, and at the same time guaranteeing that valid rules and regulations will be followed.
For HK/Denmark, the acquisition of Modulus opens up a large potential for very effective internal routines at the same time as the service costs compared to HK/Denmark's existing system will be reduced dramatically. In addition, HK/Denmark will be better equipped to be able to serve their members better since working routines are simplified and more automated at the same time as the union members will have more and better opportunities for self-service.
