FOERSLOEV, Sweden, Jan. 13, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Peab has been awarded the contract to build the north stage of the new E4 road between Uppsala and Mehedeby. The contract is worth SEK 924 million and the client is the Swedish National Road Administration.
The contract includes the construction of 43 km of new motorway between Laby and Mehedeby, 37 flyovers, two intersections and the conversion of intersecting roads.
Work will begin in stages during spring 2003 and is estimated to be completed in autumn 2007. To finish off, a wearing course will be laid during 2008.
