The Blue Cross RiverRink at Festival Pier, Columbus Blvd. and Spring Garden St. is a popular destination every year during this romantic holiday and this year guests will love skating on the red-lit ice in the evening hours!
Take your sweetheart skating as the Blue Cross RiverRink offers 2 for 1 skating discounts all day Friday, February 14th. During the 12:30-2:30 p.m. and 3-5:30 p.m., children and loved ones can enjoy creating Valentine themed make and take crafts. Throughout the remainder of the evening, from 6 p.m. until 1a.m. on Valentine's Day the ice will be lit red to set the mood. Ladies will receive complimentary red carnations as they skate with their sweetheart to their favorite love songs.
As a special bonus, at 5:45 p.m. on Valentine's Day, one local skater will profess his true love to a special someone, as they will skate alone on the rink to their favorite love song.
Valentine's Day activities are free to the public. Friday skating sessions cost $6.00 per person and skate rental is $3.00.Public Skating Sessions are as follows: Mondays through Thursdays from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., 3:00 to 5:30 p.m., 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.; Sundays from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., 3:00 to 5:30 p.m., and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Skate to a live DJ every Friday and Saturday Night from 9 p.m. to 12 midnight with a late night skating session from 11 p.m. until 1 a.m.
