BKM Los Angeles Improves Order Management With Intuit QuickBase

Intuit Highlights Novel BKM Advances on www.QuickBase.com

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 11, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- BKM Total Office Los Angeles announced today that Intuit(r) (Nasdaq:INTU), a leading provider of business and financial management solutions for small businesses, consumers and accounting professionals, is highlighting BKM's innovative use of their QuickBase(r) for Corporate Workgroups, on www.QuickBase.com.

"QuickBase has revolutionized the way our company manages orders in the fiercely competitive furniture industry," explained Bryan Geiger, vice president of operations for BKM Total Office of California. "BKM's superior service differentiates us from our competition. QuickBase provides better service to our customers -- who now have anytime, anywhere access to the real-time status of their orders."

Geiger led the Company's mission for advanced communication between BKM's manufacturers, including Steelcase, and BKM's 4,000 separate customers. Because of BKM's rapid growth, the Company's shared, linked Microsoft Excel files were becoming increasingly unmanageable, BKM's in-house computer system was overloaded, and the Wide Area Network was timing out and knocking off other users.

Geiger introduced Intuit QuickBase at BKM, allowing employees to enter and update information from the office, the field, or wherever they accessed the Internet. Changes appeared immediately and QuickBase worked with the existing BKM system to let clients see real-time status of their orders, day or night. QuickBase's automatic e-mail notifications feature informs customers and staff at each step in the order process and sends thank-you e-mails to the customer once the job is completed.

BKM's inventive use of QuickBase prompted Intuit to highlight their use of QuickBase on their QuickBase Web site. "BKM harnessed the true power of QuickBase -- the ability to organize and share vast amounts of information across distributed teams," explained Jill Ward, general manager and vice president of Intuit QuickBase. "And, they were able to tailor QuickBase exactly to their needs at a cost-effective price."

Geiger added, "Joining with Intuit has been highly beneficial to our organization. By having communication when you need it, you dramatically reduce costs -- and that is important to our customers. We believe we have made meaningful improvements in the services we provide our clients."
