Graninge to reduce holding in Alholmens Kraft


STOCKHOLM, Feb. 19, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Graninge AB has reduced its holding in Oy Alholmens Kraft Ab in Finland from 19.9 to 14.9 per cent through a sale to Perhonjoki Oy, a local distribution company.

Alholmen owns and operates the world's largest biofuel-fired power plant in Pietarsaari, Finland. The plant went into operation at the end of 2001.

The purchase sum amounts to MEUR 1.5. The sale, which has now been approved by Graninge's Board of Directors, will be carried out in two stages during the year.
