Carnegie: Mats Bremberg Appointed Nordic Head of Investment Banking and Member of the Management Group


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, April 16, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Mats Bremberg, Head of Investment Banking in Sweden, has been appointed Nordic Head of Investment Banking and will also be part of the Management Group. Charlotte Stromberg will take over the responsibility as Head of Investment Banking in Sweden.

Mats Bremberg, born 1963, has more than fifteen years investment banking experience and has headed Carnegie's investment banking business in Sweden since March 2001. Before rejoining Carnegie in March 2001, Mats Bremberg was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley & Co Limited in London, where he spent five years at Morgan Stanley's European investment banking division, with a primary focus on business origination and project management related to the European telecommunications sector, covering most disciplines of investment banking. He originally joined Carnegie in 1990 after three years with PKbanken (currently Nordea). Mats Bremberg has an in-depth knowledge and experience from all aspects of investment banking, internationally as well as locally in the Nordic markets.

Charlotte Stromberg, born 1959, has been Head of Equity Capital Market Services (ECM) in Carnegie Investment Banking since 1997. During 1986 to 1997 Charlotte Stromberg worked in the ECM-department of Alfred Berg (currently ABN Amro Alfred Berg). Prior to this she has experience from positions at Institutet for Foretagsledning, IFL and Sparbankernas Aktiefonder (currently Robur). All in all, Charlotte Stromberg has 18 years of broad experience from advisory services in investment banking, including a significant number of IPO's and other equity capital market transactions, public offers domestically as well as internationally.

Niels Roth, present Head of Nordic Investment Banking and member of the Management Group, will continue his role as Managing Director of Carnegie Bank A/S.

Furthermore, as published in Carnegie's interim report for the first quarter today, the Board of Directors have taken the decision to proceed towards an application for a banking license for D. Carnegie AB, to enable the development of a complete private banking concept. In connection with this Karin Forseke has been appointed Managing Director of D. Carnegie AB, parallel to her role as CEO of Carnegie Group. Christoffer Toll, the present Managing Director of D. Carnegie AB, has been appointed Head of Administration in business area Securities.
