The O.T. Mining Corporation Announces The Addition of Two New Members to Its Board of Directors

MONTREAL, Quebec, August 6, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- The O.T. Mining Corporation (Pink Sheets:OTMN), is pleased to announce that two members of the Company's highly qualified and dedicated technical team, Oliver T. Maki, P.Geo. and Dr. Mark Fedikow, PhD, P.Geo., P. Eng., have joined The O.T. Mining Corporation's Board of Directors.

Oliver T. Maki, P.Geo., began his career in 1945 working in Latin and North America in all facets of the mining industry for such companies as Gulf Sulphur where he was responsible for its Mexican sulphur operations, and for the American Zinc Company in the U.S. as general superintendent. Mr. Maki was also an economic geologist for both the United Nations Development Program in Chile and the Organization of American States, Washington, D.C. While working for the United Nations in Chile, he directed the exploration program which resulted in the discovery of one of the largest open pit copper mines in the world, the 3 billion ton Los Pelambres copper mine on the border of Chile and Argentina. Mr. Maki, who heads up The O.T. Mining Corporation's technical team, joined the Company as a consultant in 1987.

Mark Fedikow, PhD, P.Geo., P.Eng., brings 26 years of industry and government experience as an exploration geochemist and mineral deposits geologist to the Corporation. Formerly, he was Chief Geologist of the Mineral Deposits Section, Manitoba Geological Survey and during his tenure he was responsible for the delineation of a 40 mile long kimberlite indicator mineral dispersion train and numerous, extensive base and precious metal geochemical anomalies. Dr. Fedikow has successfully applied innovative selective and partial extraction geochemical technologies in exploration programs for lode gold, base metal massive sulphides, platinum group metals, magmatic nickel-copper, epithermal gold, silver and porphyry copper deposits in a variety of geological and overburden environments. Dr. Fedikow joined The O.T. Mining Corporation as a consultant in 2001, became a member of the technical team in May of 2002 and has now become Vice-President of Exploration as well as a Director.

The highly respected geological and engineering consulting firm, Watts, Griffis and McOuat of Toronto has delivered the long awaited technical and recommendations report on O.T.'s exploration work to date. The report confirms the results obtained from the Company's systematic work carried out over the past few years and recommends a program to drill test the highest priority exploration targets on the property beginning with the most advanced gold, silver, copper, lead and zinc targets, the 2.75 square mile The Kit Carson anomaly. Diamond drilling is anticipated to begin as soon as funding and weather permits.
