FRANKFURT, Germany, Sept. 22, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Add2Phone, a leading software vendor for mobile marketing and content applications launches PresenceGate at the Mobile Commerce World exhibition in London. PresenceGate enables mobile operators to discretely deliver content, marketing and customer care messages into presence-enabled mobile phones.
PresenceGate increases mobile data revenues by enabling non-intrusive content delivery of up-to-date information services, such as weather, stock alerts and mobile marketing over GPRS to mobile phones. Operators may configure and preinstall PresenceGate-powered services into handsets, and consumers may also subscribe to their favourite content and brand-driven services.
Add2Phone PresenceGate has built-in support for the Nokia Presence Server using a Web Services Interface (WSI). Nokia Presence Server allows operators to offer their mobile subscribers convenient and easy to use presence-enhanced services. One example is the presence-enhanced contact list, keeping mobile subscribers up-to-date with the status of their family and friends. The information is exchanged according to the open standardized protocol as defined by the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA).
