STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct. 07, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Rune Torbjornsen has today been appointed Managing Director of Doro AB listed on Stockholmsborsen's O-list.
Torbjornsen has a long experience of marketing and sales of consumer products. He has been marketing manager of "Grona Konsum" at COOP and subsequently marketing director of COOP. Prior to that, Mr Torbjornsen was business area manager at IKEA Sweden where he among other things was highly involved in the development and launch of the IKEA-Family concept.
Gunnar Akerblom leaves the Doro-group after having completed a major restructuring program which has brought the group back in to a profit- making situation.
"A change of Managing Director is timely now when Doro's financial situation has improved and when the focus going forward will be on profitable growth, in particular in the Nordic domestic markets" said Anders Bulow, Chairman of the Board. "Mr Torbjornsen has a documented experience in managing profitable growth in consumer products industries."
