Raptor Networks Announces Significant True Wire-Speed Improvements at Supercomputing Conference

Tests Confirm Ether-Raptor Switches Exceeding Current Industry Standards Operating at Wire-Speed in Switching or Routing with All Ports Moving Video/IP/Storage

ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Nov. 20, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Raptor Networks Technology, Inc. (OTCBB:PFII) a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pacific InterMedia, Inc. announced today significant improvement in True Wire-Speed operation within connected clusters at the Supercomputing Conference in Phoenix. SC2003 featured presentations and exhibits of the latest technological developments in fields such as information architectures, data storage, analysis and visualization, optical networking, scalable computing, scientific applications and distributed systems for federal government agencies.

Edwin Hoffman, Chief Technology Officer of Raptor Networks, presented benchmark test results enabling "High Bandwidth" applications using Raptor Networks RAST Core Switch Fabric and a new line of Ether-Raptor Switches. Benchmark tests showed the Ether-Raptor switches achieved excellent low latency figures of 6.1 Microseconds (average) and 7.4 Microseconds (maximum) latency between Gigabit Ethernet Ports on two Ingress Switches via RAST and a RAST Core Switch Fabric.

Mr. Hoffman commented, "Our closest competitor came in at 44 Microseconds. These tests confirmed that Ether-Raptor switches can operate with all ports moving Video/IP/Storage at wire-speed in switching or routing, exceeding the current industry standards. This product will create a paradigm shift by allowing businesses to migrate their networks to a common platform to meet the increasing demands of today's business environment."
