Sigge Haraldsson to leave as CEO and President for Alfa Laval towards the end of 2004

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Jan. 27, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sigge Haraldsson has in his employment contract with Alfa Laval an option to retire at the age of sixty, which is in October this year. He has decided to avail himself of this opportunity and will leave as CEO and President for Alfa Laval, a position he has held since 1997.

Sigge Haraldsson comments: "Alfa Laval has during the last six years gone through an extensive change period -- two changes of ownership, an increased market orientation, focus on the aftermarket and an important savings program, which have resulted in a double profit margin. I am genuinely proud over what we have achieved together and it is of course not easy to decide to leave the company after 30 years, but the timing feels right." Anders Narvinger, Chairman of Alfa Laval, comments on Sigge Haraldsson's decision: "Alfa Laval has developed extremely well under Sigge Haraldsson's leadership and I respect of course his decision to retire according to his contract. We will now start the process to recruit a new CEO and President for Alfa Laval. We have sufficient time and we will evaluate both external and internal candidates."
