Applied Nanotech to Present at Nano Tech 2004

Austin-based nanotechnology research and commercialization company to present at world's largest nanotechnology tradeshow and conference

AUSTIN, Texas, March 11, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Nano-Proprietary, Inc. (OTCBB:NNPP) today announced that its subsidiary, Applied Nanotech, Inc. (ANI), a premier research and commercialization organization dedicated to developing applications for nanotechnology, has been invited to present at Nano Tech 2004 in Tokyo, Japan on March 17th. Nano Tech 2004 International Nanotechnology Exhibition & Conference, the largest nanotechnology conference and exhibition in the world, will take place March 17 - 19 at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center.

Dr. Zvi Yaniv, CEO of Applied Nanotech, is scheduled to present "CNT FEDs as the Next Technology for Large Area Thin TV" on March 17 in Reception Hall B from 2:30PM to 3:50PM local time. Yaniv will provide an overview of carbon nanotubes (CNT) and their role in becoming the ultimate display solution for the large-area hang-on-the-wall TV market, challenging existing technologies for these applications. Dr. Yaniv will also discuss the means for a robust and high yield manufacturing process, similar to that of printing functional materials, and ANI's plans to prove this manufacturing process by creating a prototype of a high resolution 25-inch diagonal full-color CNT TV.

Dr. Yaniv will also attend the Nano Business Partnering Forum, an invitation-only forum whose purpose is to accelerate the creation of business relationships and foster business transactions between US companies and organizations with nanotechnology programs and major Japanese corporations.

"It is an honor to be called on to participate in such an important event," said Yaniv. "I'm pleased to have the opportunity to share with my colleagues across the world ANI's excellent progress in current applications in nanotechnology here in Texas. The focus of my presentation will be to present the company, update and inform attendees on our activities on current developments, and on what to expect in the coming year."

Held in association with more than ten nanotechnology conferences during Japan's "Nano Week", Nano Tech 2004 is expected to pull 250 exhibitors from eighteen countries and 30,000 attendees.
