Maxus Technology Inc. and City of Calgary to Partner for 2004 eCycle Roundup Day


SAN JOSE, Calif., March 16, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Maxus Technology Inc., a Medinex Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:MNXS) subsidiary, is pleased to announce that it has won its bid to partner with the City of Calgary for another eCycle Day Roundup. The event will mark the second year in which Maxus Technology Inc., a leader in eWaste and Asset Recovery services, will play an instrumental role in the city's' eWaste collection. Calgary is home to over 1 million people.

"Calgary, Alberta Canada continues to lead the eWaste revolution in Canada and will continue its innovative ways to safely manage computers and other electronic devices at the end of their life,'' Maxus President Shelley Whatmore commented. "This is a low-cost, consumer-friendly solution to the expensive electronic product recycling options currently available to the city. Maxus, utilising its MeWa recycling technology, will process over 70 metric tonnes of eWaste during the day."

Last year's eCycle Roundup is considered to be one of the largest one-day electronic waste roundups held in North America with over 220 metric tonnes collected from the City of Calgary in 6 hours: As a result, 3,615 computer monitors; 4,277 CPUs; 1,753 TVs and 1,393 stereos were collected. Telephones, speakers, game systems and other miscellaneous electronic equipment were also collected and recycled.
