The Secrets of Time

Thriller novel raises disturbing questions about our role in the universe

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., May 3, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- The president of the United States is an alcoholic, a megalomaniac, a manipulator, and a liar. But he isn't completely bad. He is, after all, planning the most ambitious space project of all time: a manned voyage to Mars. Unfortunately, he has not shared his scheme with the nation; the American people are, in the president's estimation, "not ready to handle it." Neither has he disclosed the eerie prophecies of the newly discovered "Bet She'an" codex, predictions that have given urgency to the Mars mission. President Randall Garvey is not alone in his quest. His friendships with the president of Russia and the prime minister of Japan have helped him devise the greatest covert operation in history.

What is the connection between the anomalous "codex" and recent findings on Mars? What will be found in the codex and on the red planet that will shake the faiths of billions of human beings? Is the terrifying crisis that follows Garvey's mission the hand of God reaching out in retribution? Are there cosmic secrets not meant to be discovered?

To the world's growing interest in the red planet, and the potential discoveries of the recent Mars landers, The Secrets of Time adds another dimension of possibilities to humankind's eternal quest for knowledge. Although a tale of adventure, intrigue, and hubris, The Secrets of Time is, at its core, a story of faith.
