GOTEBORG, Sweden, June 16, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Zipper, a subsidiary of Semcon, has signed a framework agreement with the international industrial group Sapa Profiler for the FastTrack(TM) 3.0 concept. The agreement covers Sapa Profiler's Nordic business.
The project will be run in close partnership with Sapa Profiler's IT department under Zipper's management. The Zipper agreement is part of Sapa Profiler's investment to change its present environment to an infrastructure based on Windows 2003, Active Directory, SMS 2003 and Exchange 2003. The aim is also to introduce FastTrack client platforms and run Sapa Profiler's applications centrally.
FastTrack helps customers to automate the development, operation, management and roll-out of large PC platforms, leading to reduced costs and an easier way of keeping up-to-date with the latest technology. FastTrack's delegatable administration interface handles machines, users and applications from a single source. FastTrack is today used by around 60 of Sweden's largest companies, and has around 250,000 users in Sweden and internationally.
