Robert ter Weijden will take over as the new Director Investor Relations with effect from 1st September. He will succeed Ian Roundell who will be returning the UK to further his career. Robert will lead a team of 6 people and will report directly to Eric Bouwmeester, General Manager Communications.
Fortis is grateful for Ian's significant contribution to the development of the IR activities over the last year. He is leaving the company for personal reasons, however will remain in an advisory capacity to Fortis until the end of October.
Robert ter Weijden (38) holds a Masters in Economics (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) and has been with Fortis since 1993. He started his career within Fortis Bank Netherlands, after which he joined Fortis Investments as a product manager. Since 2000 he has been a senior member of the Investor Relations team of Fortis.
