Autoliv Honored with DaimlerChrysler Award


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, July 26, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Autoliv, the worldwide leader in automotive safety systems, has recently won DaimlerChrysler Corporation's Gold Award for its seat belt manufacturing plant in Madisonville, Kentucky, for the calendar year 2003.

The award is presented to manufacturing facilities "in recognition of outstanding performance" within a specific commodity. Autoliv's Madisonville plant was deemed one of the top facilities to supply seat belt assemblies.

"This achievement places Autoliv's plant among our highest rated suppliers locations to the Chrysler Group," writes Robert Schott, DaimlerChrysler's Vice President of Worldwide Procurement & Sourcing Strategy.

Autoliv is extremely proud of winning this prestigious award, especially after having received DaimlerChrysler's Global Supplier Award and Component Award earlier this year as well as two Gold Awards from Chrysler previous year for outstanding performance (one of which was awarded to the plant in Madisonville).
