Poolia prepares listing of Uniflex

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 08, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Board of Directors of Poolia AB is preparing a proposal regarding the spinoff of Uniflex and a listing of this subsidiary's shares on Stockholmsborsen's New Market (Nya Marknaden) list. The background to the proposal is the strategy adopted in 2002, stipulating that Poolia should focus on professional staffing and permanent placement operations and that Uniflex should focus on it core areas, which are the renting out of industrial, warehouse and office employees. As early as at the beginning of 2002, Poolia separated its generalist services from professional staffing and permanent placement operations, which were instead offered by the subsidiary Uniflex. Accordingly, the Board of Directors of Poolia has decided that a spinoff of Uniflex and its listing on New Market is a natural development. The intention is that the spinoff of Uniflex will be conducted by means of a distribution of the shares in Uniflex to Poolia shareholders.

"Poolia has always focused on professional staffing. The company's original operations consisted of the renting out and permanent placement of professional accountants. As part of the major success and growth story that followed, we became a full-service supplier. We are now again focusing on our core competency in order to become a leading player in the European market for professional staffing," says Erik Strand, President of Poolia AB. ``Uniflex's business trend in the generalist segment has been strong and the decision to list the company's shares separately is a natural progression of the growth strategy. In addition, the administrative synergies between Poolia and Uniflex's operations are limited, although commercial cooperation between the companies will continues" says Bjorn Oras, Chairman of the Board and founder of Poolia AB. "I intend to continue to be a long-term owner of both of the companies," Bjorn Oras adds.

Poolia AB intends to convene an Extraordinary General Meeting before the end of the year in order to address the Board of Directors' proposal. More detailed information will be presented ahead of the Extraordinary General Meeting.
