Millennium Chemicals Announces Price Increases For Glacial Acetic Acid


HUNT VALLEY, Md., Sept. 8, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Millennium Chemicals (NYSE:MCH) ("Millennium") announced today the following price increases for glacial acetic acid (GAA) effective October 1, 2004, or as contracts allow:



 US & Canada:                     GAA -- US $0.04/lb

 Central & South America:         GAA -- US $90/metric ton

 Asia, Africa & the Middle East   GAA -- US $90/metric ton

 Europe    (T2 Material)          GAA -- Euro 75/metric ton
