HOUSTON, Oct. 4, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Gulf Biomedical Corporation (Pink Sheets:GBIC) announced the signing on September 5, 2004 of a non-binding Letter-of-Intent with David Beard/Traderite LLC. to purchase all the assets, liabilities, copyrights and patent rights to "Special Care, Health and Hair". This shall include inventories, product research information, formulations, production facility contacts and sales rights.
"Special Care, Health and Hair", a vitamin supplement, was developed by David Beard in August 2002 through a series of formulated chemical studies on human individuals with pharmaceutical grade components. In late January 2003, the dosage evolved into a two-tablet formula directed toward the stimulation of hair growth and repair from such common hair loss maladies as Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA), Alopecia Areata, Congenital Atrichia and Trichotillomania.
Upon completion of the purchase, Gulf Biomedical Corporation intends to conduct "double blind" medical trials using a Houston based medical clinic for these studies which, if proven positive, will lead to patent and copy rights filings on the vitamin supplement formulations.
