Isensix Appoints Doug Berg as Chief Executive Officer

New CEO Brings Extensive Experience in Clinical Lab Marketplace and Investment Banking to the Company

Berg has over twenty-five years of experience in the clinical diagnostics and reference laboratory industry. His career has included a number of P&L General Management positions including responsibilities in sales, marketing, manufacturing, R&D, business development and international. Prior to joining Isensix, Berg has been an advisor to the Healthcare and Life Sciences Group of One Equity Partners, the private equity investment fund of Bank One. Prior to Bank One, at Quest Diagnostics, Berg was responsible for all commercial activities in the four business segments of physician, hospital, managed care, and strategic growth markets with an organization of over 2000 employees. Prior to Quest, he held various executive management positions at Dade Behring, Baxter International, and American Hospital Supply Corporation. Mr. Berg earned a bachelor degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Isensix launched its first product offering, the Advanced Remote Monitoring System (ARMSTM), at the American Association of Blood Banks' Annual Meeting and TXPO in 2003. The ARMS system is designed to improve the safety of stored blood products, reagents, and clinical samples and to simplify compliance procedures through automation. Key installations include UCLA Medical Center, Children's Hospital San Diego, National Genetics Institute, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Stanford Medical Center Transfusion Services, and Los Angeles County General Hospital.
