eGAMES Announces "Pennies Count Too!" Kickoff Event

The American Diabetes Association "America's Walk for Diabetes"

LANGHORNE, Pa., Oct. 25, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- eGames, Inc. (OTCBB:EGAM), a publisher of Family Friendly(tm), affordable consumer entertainment PC software games, today announced the first "Kickoff" event of the eGames "Pennies Count Too!" fund. eGames formally kicked-off its Pennies Count Too! Program by participating in the 'America's Walk for Diabetes' event sponsored by The American Diabetes Association at Tyler State Park near Newtown, Pennsylvania in Bucks County. Jerry Klein, President and CEO of eGames, said, "The American Diabetes Association estimated that more than 100,000 people in 245 cities across America participated in the America's Walk for Diabetes events and we found it a fitting event to kick-off our Pennies Count Too! campaign."

"In keeping with our stated goal for the Pennies Count Too! Fund contributions, we dedicated our efforts in Sunday's walk to Kelley Rose Szamboti. Kelley is the eight-year-old niece of Ann Szamboti, an eGames independent contractor engaged to support our marketing and sales efforts. Kelley was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes ten months ago and is learning to cope with and care for herself with this lifelong condition. We recognize the personal struggles and commitments related to successfully controlling diabetes and we want Kelley to know that we support her. The eGames Pennies Count Too! Fund has contributed $1,000 to the American Diabetes Association in honor of Kelley," stated Klein.

For fiscal 2005, eGames will contribute a penny for every eGames title sold at North American retail locations and online through the Internet to a fund for charitable causes. Based on the number of eGames units sold during fiscal 2004 in North America, eGames expects to contribute between $15,000 and $20,000 to the fund during fiscal 2005. eGames employees will participate in athletic events that support charitable causes that benefit children and families, and the Pennies Count Too! Fund will then contribute to those charities supported by the athletic event.

Mr. Klein continued, "It's our belief that small things can make a big difference, and although we are a small company, we think we can make a difference. It is our hope that Pennies Count Too! will draw attention to the importance of charitable causes which benefit children and families in special need. Those attributes are the essential criteria for the Company's distributions from the Pennies Count Too! fund. We have decided to associate Pennies Count Too! with athletic events to underscore the importance of leading a balanced life and overcoming personal challenges. Research in recent years has cited numerous benefits resulting from playing PC games that stimulate and develop the brain while enhancing certain key fundamental skills for both children and adults of all ages. Research has also demonstrated the overwhelming benefits of a life-long daily exercise regimen. Pennies Count Too! activities and publicity will strive to draw positive attention to the need to integrate daily physical activity into the lives of children and their families for healthier living."
