Sunwin International Neutraceuticals, Inc. Announces 25% Increase in Sales of Chinese Sexual Enhancement Herbal Supplement

The goal is to increase market share to 6.75% in 2004 and 11% in 2005 worldwide

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov. 18, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sunwin International Neutraceuticals, Inc. (OTCBB:SUWN), an industry leader in the distribution and manufacturing of Chinese herbs, veterinary medicines and low-calorie natural sweetener in China, announced today its sales of Chinese Herbal for sexual enhancement, which is called Epimedium or Horny Goat Weed, has increased 25% in the first six months of 2004 to 12.5 tons as compared to the same period in 2003. Epimedium is a Chinese herb which is a major component of natural sexual enhancement supplements. The company expects to produce 30 tons in 2004 and to increase to 50 tons in 2005.

Baozhong Yuan, CEO of Sunwin International, commented, "In 2003, our production of Epimedium ("Horny Goat Weed") represented approximately 4.5% of the global market share. Our goal is to increase our market share to 6.75% in 2004 and 11% in 2005 worldwide, respectively. As animal studies have shown the effectiveness and safety of Epimedium, we believe the applications of Epimedium will gain widespread acceptance."

Epimedium is a genus of twenty-one related plant species. The Chinese refer to Epimedium as "yin yang huo", which has been loosely translated as "licentious goat plant" and explains why Western supplement companies have adopted the titillating name by which it is known in the U.S as horny goat weed. The traditional use of Epimedium has been to treat fatigue and boost sex drive, in turn the majority of the claims for Western dietary supplements center around sex drive. The use of Epimedium as a medicinal herb dates back to at least 400 A.D., where it has been used as a tonic for the reproductive system (boosting libido and treating impotence) and as a rejuvenating tonic (to relieve fatigue). Epimedium is thought to work via modulation of Cortisol levels (the primary stress hormone). Under conditions of high stress, the increased Cortisol levels are known to cause fatigue and depress sex drive -- so bringing Cortisol levels back into normal ranges is also thought to help restore normal metabolism, energy levels and libido.
