Control Module Names Industry Veteran Jim Madsen As Director of Technology Initiatives

Strong Engineering and Product Experience Brings Technical and Strategic Value to the Company


ENFIELD, Conn., Jan. 18, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Control Module Inc. (CMI), the leader in technology solutions for workforce management, secure access, and data collection, today announced that engineering and manufacturing veteran Jim Madsen has rejoined the company as Director of Technology Initiatives. Mr. Madsen was formerly employed with Control Module as the Director of Technical Support. In his new role with the company, Mr. Madsen will be responsible for leading hardware and software initiatives to maintain Control Module's technology edge and grow its line of innovative workforce solutions while meeting the rapidly changing needs of customers.

Mr. Madsen brings over 25 years of Data Collection, Time and Attendance and Secure Access experience to the company. Most recently, Mr. Madsen was the Manager of Product Development and Operations at IdentiScan, where he was responsible for managing the engineering, service, technical support, sales, marketing, and manufacturing division. Prior to IdentiScan, Mr. Madsen, was one of the founders of Accu-Time Systems, and held the position of Vice President of Engineering and Operations. In this role, Mr. Madsen was responsible for the design and development of Accu-Time's complete product line from 1991 through 1999. He was also responsible product engineering, marketing, support, service, and production.

Before his tenure at Accu-Time Systems, Mr. Madsen was the Director of Technical Support Control Module, where he contributed substantially to the company's growth and success. Mr. Madsen managed custom product development and manufacturing engineering, and was responsible for transitioning new products into production. In this position, Mr. Madsen was also responsible for design and development of Control Module's standard product line which included Time and Attendance, Secure Access, Shop Floor Tracking and other data collection devices.

Mr. Madsen holds a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology from the University of Hartford.
