Through interoperability with DOORS, DOORS XT enables an extended workgroup to benefit from the rich requirements and traceability information already created in and managed by DOORS.
- Support for easier adoption of Requirements Management DOORS XT's user interface combines the best of familiar environments like studio-style interfaces and web browsers. Ease-of-use gets even casual users up-to-speed quickly and promotes the adoption of RM practices by the wider workgroup.

Installing and upgrading a DOORS XT client is performed via download from the server. This greatly simplifies and reduces the cost of administration when deploying in large numbers and across multiple sites.
