Lisa Healy Promoted to Executive Vice President of Sysco Food Services of Arizona, Inc.


HOUSTON, March 23, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- SYSCO Corporation (NYSE:SYY), North America's largest foodservice marketer and distributor, announced today that Lisa Healy has been named executive vice president of Sysco Food Services of Arizona, Inc., a SYSCO broadline foodservice subsidiary located in Tolleson, Arizona. Ms. Healy, who currently is senior vice president of sales for Sysco Food Services of Virginia in Harrisonburg, Virginia, will assume her new role effective May 2, 2005.

Ms. Healy began her SYSCO career in 1987 as a marketing associate at Sysco Food Services of Virginia and was named district sales manager in 1995, regional sales manager the following year and director of multi-unit sales in 1997. She advanced to vice president of multi-unit sales in 1999, was named vice president of sales in 2001 and promoted to her current position in 2003. Prior to joining SYSCO, she was employed as director of dietary at Fairfax Nursing Center in Fairfax, Virginia.

Ms. Healy was born in Akron, Ohio but has spent most of her life in the northern Virginia area, primarily in Herndon, Virginia. She graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in Blacksburg, Virginia in 1986 with a bachelor of science degree in human nutrition and food. She and her husband, Sean, have one son and will be relocating to Arizona in the near future.
