It sounds like an exciting tropical vacation, but you can do all this and more at White Haute Nights, the Junior League of Orange County, California, Inc., (JLOCC) Spring Fundraiser at the Balboa Bay Club & Resort set for Saturday, April 2, 2005.
According to event chair Lori Wagner, the Newport Beach resort will be transformed into a sultry Latin Casino at what is sure to be the hottest event in Orange County. At a special outdoor VIP party, you can kick off the night early and watch the sun go down. The reception's mood will be set with live music. Tarot card readings and cigar-rolling demonstrations will take place under the stars. Guests will dine on sumptuous Cuban-themed cuisine and sip cool cocktails while perusing the magnificent items available for bid at silent auction tables.
The Junior League of Orange County, California, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. White Haute Nights, this year's Spring Fundraiser, will support community programs and projects sponsored by the JLOCC to benefit the Orange County community.
Funds raised by the event will benefit YMCA of Orange County, Laura's House, Canyon Acres Children's Services, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Impact Orange County, Orangewood Foundation Bear Hugs, Community Grants Program and Youth Scholarships.
The White Haute Nights VIP Party starts at 6 p.m. VIP tickets are $130. The main event will be held 7 p.m. - 11 p.m., and tickets are available for $100 each. Suggested attire is South Beach chic. The Balboa Bay Club, located at 1221 Coast Highway, Newport Beach, is offering special overnight rates for event attendees during the week prior and the week following.
