Klippan Interim Report January -- March 2005


KLIPPAN, Sweden, May 10, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Klippan:

- A continued weak market has affected the result negatively during the first quarter.

- Net group turnover amounted to MSEK 326.0 (MSEK 385.1).

- Result after tax reported as MSEK -32.6 (-6.9).

- Result per share was reported as SEK -3.94 (-0.83).

- Re-financing of the KLIPPAN group.

- On 16 March 2005, the Board decided to start negotiations in accordance with the law concerning the right to co-determination at work, with the aim of closing down paper manufacturing at Molndal Mill.

- The new MD and group CEO Thomas Billing took up his appointment on 1 March 2005.

KLIPPAN is a leading producer of speciality paper for the graphic industry with a total capacity of 200,000 tons per year. Production is carried out at the three mills in Klippan, Lessebo and Molndal.
