Eberstein Joins Ventura County Credit Union Leadership Team

VENTURA, Calif., June 2, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Ventura County Credit Union is pleased to announce that David Eberstein has joined its management team as Chief Financial Officer. He will assume responsibility for implementing the credit union's financial strategic plan by directing the financial activities of this financially strong and growing organization.

"I'm excited about coming to what I feel is one of the finest credit unions in southern California," said Eberstein. "VCCU is very service oriented, so I'll be helping to create strategies to improve the bottom line for both the credit union and its membership."

Bringing more than 20 years of financial services experience, Eberstein is well qualified for the position. Immediately before coming to VCCU, Eberstein served as a Senior Interest Rate Risk Consultant at WesCorp, a corporate credit union serving more than 1,000 clients. There he evaluated interest rate positions for more than 30 credit union clients, making recommendations for improving earnings while mitigating interest rate risk.

VCCU President Carol A. Harris says, "David has exactly the experience we were looking for. Just as important, he shares our philosophy that benefiting our members is the first priority in whatever financial strategies we adopt."

Eberstein earned his BS in Accounting from California State University, Northridge, and an MBA in Finance from Golden Gate University. He and his wife Roberta live in Northridge and have two sons.

With more than 44,000 members and $365 million in total assets, Ventura County Credit Union is the largest credit union headquartered in Ventura County.
