CHICAGO, June 10, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- COMSYS Information Technology Services, Inc., a leading provider of technology staffing services, is observing the 15-year anniversary of its SAS technology center this month. Located in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the SAS Center of Excellence has performed over 1.5 million hours of clinical and non-clinical project work for 225 clients, including some of the most well-known companies in the biopharmaceutical industry.
The Center was founded in 1990 by a predecessor company. In addition to name changes, the Center has celebrated several other milestones over the years. It has relocated three times, each time expanding into a larger facility. The Center currently accommodates up to 100 full-time SAS professionals in a high-security facility.
With varied backgrounds in database programming, administration, web development and statistics, group members work exclusively on research and development projects that focus on turning transactional data into valuable business knowledge. Many of the consultants who joined the Center in the founding year remain part of the staff today. As growth continues, other technology centers in New Jersey and Oregon may also be expanded.
