American Petroleum Group, Inc. Negotiates Stream of New Crude


HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., Aug. 18, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- American Petroleum Group, Inc.'s (OTCBB:AMPE) subsidiary, American Petroleum Products Company ("APPC"), has received approval from several suppliers to provide "new" base oils for its premium petroleum products line. APPC has issued purchase orders on acceptable terms and conditions with well known suppliers who have agreed to increase production and delivery to APPC's facility by up to four times the previous production amounts, which will significantly increase APPC's production and revenue. As previously announced, APPC will also significantly increase the production of "uncombusted" low-grade oils. These low-grade oils have become a significant product line for APPC, and the Company is projecting significant revenue increases from this product line.

Richard Steifel, President of American Petroleum Products Company, stated, "These new commitments for premium base oils will allow us to triple our sales of our premium oils. The increased production of low-grade oils will also, significantly increase revenues for this product line."
